Starting The New Year With Intention

Starting The New Year With Intention

Last year one of the things I did was sit in silence more. I have to have the tv on, music playing, or some form of noise when it comes down to performing tasks that require focus. I didn't realize that I struggled with anxiety more than I cared to acknowledge or accept.

Within the past few months, I have been very intentional about sitting in silence and being in the moment. There are no distractions; just mindful of what's right in front of me. Last weekend while prepping orders, I basked in the beauty of silence while doing what I love!

This is one of my favorite parts of the process. It's calming and relaxing. I feel at peace, and I feel free. It's home.

As I start this new year, I aim to be more present by increasing mindfulness by turning off the television and music and reading more books during the week. Last night, I turned off the tv, lay in my bed, and read a book. To be where I want to be (future self), I must step out of my comfort zone and focus on growing as an entrepreneur.
With that said, I strongly encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and be intentional with your goals this year. Don't overwhelm yourself with doing too much at one time. Today, I challenge you to step outside of your comfort zone and do the hard stuff. Remember it takes 21 days to form a habit. The more you do it, the more it because second nature to you!
